Hi Eben,
Great video. You provided a lot of value in it. Looking forward to the next...
This is a bit off topic but I'm just curious - Why did you choose to host your video on your own site (i.e. not YouTube or Blip) and not use some form of tracking like Google Analytics?

Hi Eben,
Thanks for the tour! What a lovely place! I am the Co-Founder of www.MindValley.com and have been studying Get Altitude and I am really enjoying it.
I wanted to use one of your strategies and see if I could provide you massive value. I have developed a brand new Google AdWords Optimization tool that I wanted to give to you for free ($2,000 value) to see if it can help your business become more successful with PPC advertising on Google. Please shoot me an email. Would love to have you give it a try, to help you and hear your thoughts.

so THANK YOU.
i don't know how much this next program is, but i know that whatever it costs it will be worth it. COUNT ME IN!

Excellent video, just like all the other ones you've created.
Thought you might want to know that when I go to the homepage of gurumastermindblog.com, both of the videos currently appearing there both start playing at the same time, so it is confusing and I have to scramble to stop one of them so I can actually hear the other.

Eben,
Amazing stuff as always. I really enjoyed it. I also got so much out of your webinar the other night that I have 15 pages of notes.
I can't wait to see it again when you email it out.
Fantastic job!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Although I had done several different actions that were mentioned in your video, I did not have a thriving business.
That was because I had mixed up the actions!
Now I'm excited because I can see what I left out and what I need to do.
I appreciate the information.

I have only watched about eight minutes, but I was impressed. I work nights, and I need to sleep, but I plan on watching on my next available day off.
I thought by your name you might look like a troll, but you look like a very nice real honest person, not full of hype, so.... it was a good thing that you became a real human being, and you are not a troll, or a superficial type salesperson who is obnoxious and aggressive. So, thanks, I plan on making at least twice your income by the utilization of some of your secrets, and I will create much good on this planet with my business. Why not? I will do it, later, friend. Hi Eben,
I just want to thank you for the seriously EXCELLENT content you are offering in these videos.
I'm a long time fan of
Double Your Dating and I know that when you talk, EVERYONE should listen.
No doubt about that.
I'm a recently divorced dad with 3 children. I have a "successful" offline business, but it consumes too much of my time and doesn't allow me to concentrate on my passsions.
I am so inspired by your posts - as well as by the posts of Frank Kern and others - that I am finally taking action to break free of the offline slavery and plunge into the online world.
I have several ideas for niche products. I have no idea if they will work. But frankly, I don't care. What I do care about is giving it a try.
I have learned from personal experience that it is better to regret what you tried (and failed at), than to regret what you did not try at all.
I am looking forward to your future posts and to winning a free spot on your MasterMind Guru course.
You are the REAL DEAL. And that makes whatever you say infinitely more powerful than so many of the other internet "gurus".
Thanks for the pure content.
And if you ever come to Brussels, look my up and I'll be happy to show you around and let you taste some REAL chocolate - not that Hershey's BS that you Yanks are used to :-)
Cheers,
Carl

I remember reading a book by Zig Zigler a while back. He talked about if you help enough people get what they want out of life, you too will achieve the goals you have set for your own life as well.
Eben, the more I watch and listen to your presentations, and the amazing material you share, I think it is obvious why you are such a success. You are real, and of course there is gain in what you are doing, that is why it is called "business" however, you are willing to share very pertinent information with the public, that we all might have the chance at the same success you enjoy. Thank you so very much for your unselfish contribution. I love what I am learning, and look forward to the up and coming. You exceed excellence!

Amazing content as usual. But moreover your level of integrity in this business is a true example that is so rare. Amidst this cyberland of the Internet where a lot of people are out to get as much profit as they can by overcharging and speaking to their customers like they're a bunch of illiterate morons you are like a tower light. Really. Every single thing you've said that I've used has made me a better person and more money than almost anything else I've ever come into contact with. Thank you, and keep it comin.

Excellent content delivered in a soft, easy going manner. This has made me more anxious to get started with an ebook/idea then ever before. Hopefully you can take some of the 'fear' out of the initial getting started part! I feel if I can just overcome this 1st hurdle I'll be able to add myself to the ranks of internet money makers and continue to grow and finally make something of myself.

Great stuff. You stated that you had someone who offered to show you how to set up and do pay per click or adwords. How about some help on that. There are lots of rumors about how easy it is to owe thousands per day by doing this wrong.
Thanks

Hey Eben
It's nice to see how you live.
What I like from you is that you are a cool guy, meaning that you are calm, easy going...
Maybe Yoga has to do with it.
Here is one thing: You speak very very clear and communicate extremely well. I think this is huge for your relationship with your clients. Could you talk about how (if ever) you developed your own communication abilities, if you took oratory class, etc.

Alright Eban thanks for all the actionable content, I'm bout to get to work putting them in action!!!

Thank you Eben,
You've given us a map of the territory - as they say in NLP circles.
You've given us the big picture of what the Desired Outcome looks like.
You've shown us the Transition State: those 3 Phases that develop the 3 Pillars are what is required to get from the present to that highly-prized future.
You even asked us to position ourselves on the map and figure out the next steps we need to take.
Very cool.
Where I am stuck is in Phase Zero. The one you didn't talk about.
You know the phase that shows you what topic and market to pick that would allow you to build that curriculum you described.
Some topics or subjects don't lend themselves to an endless stream of new offers and infoproducts.
When you picked dating did you know it was going to involve an endless stream of long emails?
Did you realize that you were going to be creating a funnel of downloadable products?
Did you pick dating as a subject thinking it would eventually become a curriculum?
Or was it an "organic" process of discovery that happened just because you wanted to learn how to have that part of your life handled?
Your first video grabbed because I knew I was in Phase Zero.
Again I thank you for showing me the map of how you grew your business.
Real eye-opening.
This is my action step right now. Asking you to map out in more detail how to choose "the seed" that has the chance of growing into the glorious garden of prosperity you have realized.

Eben,
Great video THANKS. Timing is amazing as I'm just launching my first information site. Your work place is very similar to mine as I'm building an office over my garage apartment so I can leave the HOUSE and concentrate on on getting my work done. Then return home to be with my family. The last three minutes of this video are worth gold. I actually purchased a 4' x 8' white board to draw out that plan a few weeks ago. It's in my office and I can alter it every day with a dry erase marker. Looking forward to your next series and products.

1) Could you mention in your videos sometime how you became good at communicating so clearly? This is what REALLY sets you apart.
2) What resources did you use to learn how to become a great seminar presenter?

Eben- I was an internet crazed kind of guy a few years back and things never really got off the ground. I went from new idea, to new cool money making product to new next best thing trying to put it all together. Life sucked.
I've never given up but I'll be honest it's been a hell of a struggle. Not getting the success I expected, I've come this close to giving up many many times.
Then I had heard about double your dating and like so many others I was hooked by your e-mails. Tried as I might I still couldn't duplicate your success.
I got married, my wife cut me some slack with my "little hobby" and I puttered along. She was supportive but not terribly enthusiastic.
UNTIL I stumbled across your altitude stuff and for some reason she decided to sit down with me one weekend afternoon and have a look. Not for nuthin' the 2 people that most impressed her... as she put it "down to earth kind of guys" were you and Dean Jackson. Maybe because I look a little like Dean :). Fact is she liked both your styles. SO with a lot more support we are both having at it.
Her passion is horses and she's had some small success with a few sites horsemomssupplements.com and equus-rx.com (both horse nutrition related) and I dusted off an old e-book on buying horses horsesecrets.com AND we went at this together.
In just the last few weeks we have been working on this every spare minute. AND I mean every spare minute. I look back and I'm really surprised at how much we have been able to get done vs all that time I spent running around in circles. I have to tell you the process of having the clearly defined goal coupled with the action steps have been gold.Fact is I also have to give her a lot of the credit. She's disciplined organized and is such a common sense thinker she amazes me.
Well Eben that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Please keep the info coming and rest assured there's at least 2 people out here listening intently and taking action like crazy!
Please give our best to Dean (I think he and my wife are kindred spirits)
I respectfully request that you consider us for one of your scholarships... because one thing I can promise is we will ACT on it and we will make it happen. In fact we are going to make it happen one way or another. But it would sure be neat to follow a proven plan like yours.
Thanks

Hi Eben,
Thanks for this program! Just a couple weeks back, i left a message on your Mantransformationblog voicemail about wanting to gain your mentorship as that was my dream, and taking part in the positive change in the world.
Now that you've put out the challenge and armed me with invaluable info, I have the opportunity to EARN your mentorship myself as a capable, motivated young man, and am eternally grateful. I'm starting at phase 1, no starting capital (yet) with nothing setup, so I have a better chance than anyone to show you I've copied everything you have been so generous to teach for free.
Robert Kiyosaki once said that his plan to become a billionaire is to help his staff become millionaires. I can tell that's where your heart is- helping others improve their life quality dramatically- and I'm proud to share that mindset as part of your Mastermind.
Will, Toronto
(P.S. In my vmail message, left Friday Feb22 2-3am EST, I gave some ideas for new markets to consider, and left the same email address as above. I know you really feel good when you help out guys who are self-motivated, especially like me who have their hearts in the right place. A quick email that you heard the message I left would be REALLY cool and inspiring. You'll also hear how you changed my life. I did that on purpose JUST FOR YOU, because I remember you said you always tried to internalize the significance of having impacted a man's life. So check out my message, and just quickly let me know what you think! That vmail time again was Friday, Feb 22, 2008, between 2-3am EST.
I'll just be here working my ass off! Talk to you again next vid.)

I'm not sure how the getting started advice you give in this video (i.e., write a book, set up a sales page, throw some ppc traffic at it) relates to the advice you gave in the webinar the other night (i.e., start with a $97 coaching session as your first product); am I on 2 different tracks here?
Posted by: Filiberto | March 8, 2008 12:49 PM
Hey Eban,
Thanks for your behind the scenes video of where you live and work.
It seems to me that your office looked more "lived in" than your apartment.
Is that another secret to success?
Hmmm.
To be honest...
Your "Get Altitude" program ticked me off.
At first I thought I was just jealous of your success,
but then I came to the conclusion that the program made me realize that...
I'm NOT actually DOING enough of the things that can take my business to the next level.
...and I've got nobody to blame but myself.
So instead of getting mad and returning it for a refund,
I decided to watch it again with an open mind and actually start using the ideas.
Thanks for the kick in pants and helping me break out of my comfort zone.

Eben,
I took frantic notes and I still feel that I missed a lot of the value… I hear people say thing like I drank from a well of knowledge but I feel like I was hooked up to a high pressure fire hydrant… I know this was going to be jam packed with value and I even invited a lot of my business friends over to watch the webinar.
I called it a webinar a party!
The thing is that some of my friends have an MBA from some good schools including Michigan State and Bob Jones University (my school) and we were all wow and we are all still comparing notes and gaining incites. Matter of fact we have been staying up most of the night networking within our own mastermind group.
I have an uncle that was a big wig at Ford world headquarters and I introduced him to your stuff and he was amazed by the value of your content that you give away!
My friends thought you were full of it but have now invested in your ebooks and are in the process of changing their personal lives!
You have started a revolution!

Hey Eben,
Guy here.
Great Scott! Great Stuff!
So consistent in your desire to help and grow others. Letting folks inside your playground (skunkworks?)...so helpfull.
Your speed of implementation is something others can only hope to rise to. This video seems a direct result of your Guru Mastermind webinar the other evening.
The conclusion you seemingly came to regarding what your attendees needed as you were finishing up the webinar is exactly what I personally was needing.
Naturally, in this video, you have brought much clarity on how to structure the online business model from its embryonic stages.
I'm simply following along now.
Thanks so much.

Hey Eben,
I think this is great man.. I can't wait to see your next video. In the meantime, I'm going to get started on this. I'm making a commitment to building an information product and then marketing it.
I always wondered what it looked like behind the scenes of information businesses. This is by far soo cool. I agree with the other posts on here so far... when you talk people should listen.
I was wondering about some of the logistical stuff of copyrighting, using business names online, taxes and etc... where's a good to get all this information in a clear and concise way..?
No body that I know of has done anything like your program here and I hope you make boat loads of money man.. Keep up the excellent work and you'll always have a fan here.
Thanks,

Hi Eban,
Let me just start off by saying that you're the answer to my prayers. Thanks to your mentoring through your Double Your Dating products I'm engaged to an amazingly beautiful woman that is off the charts in every way. I am the envy of everyone in my "clan." Your material has helped me realize my goals of finding an excellent mate beyond anything I could have imagined. Now that I am about to settle down, I needed a way to make some money to establish myself and support my partner and I and eventually start a family. My business is doing okay, but I really want to get to the next level and your material has given me hope and a blueprint for business success. I will take these ideas and hope and really put in the time and effort required to make it a reality.
I wish you would do a program like "Mastery" on how to establish a business from finding a niche to market development and cover everything step by step. I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Thanks again for your work! Your mentoring has really changed my life for the better.
Sincerely,

Hi Eben,
I loved every single piece of it! Thank you so much

Hey Eben,
That was definitely worth at least $100 in value. Where can I send the $10? ;-P
In creating this campaign, I'm struggling with trying to decide how I want to capture the visitors? As you teach, I'm going to copy your first blog and get the feedback, but I also want to capture the data from the people who visited. Whatever. I throw some dice. It's always great to see the "behind the scenes" stuff. As always, when the student is ready, the teacher appears. Thanks a MILLION!

Eben,
You are one of the rare 'gurus' I can listen to all day effortlessly. You are a very well read & researched deep thinker and definitely a master teacher.
This video and the last one you sent us really simplified everything for me, like never before!
I have my action steps listed and am ready to start implementing them RIGHT NOW!
I can clearly see how I can take my offline business from no online Info Marketing strategy or product to sell - to building and monetizing a targeted subscriber base in the next 30 days! I have an offline team of master teachers and with your help can definitely grow our business to Phase 3 (the whole online curriculum!) by the end of this year if I follow your guidance - definite 7 figure income potential!!!
I don't know what kind of timeline we have to generate money from your 'homework' assignments in order to qualify for your Guru MasterMind scholarship, but I will work as fast as I can to demonstrate real world results from implementing these strategies for you! Creating a competition is brilliant and adds a friendly competitive element to the process of learning. It would be a huge honor to win from the competition I see throughout all your postings - you many seasoned Info Marketers as students and the competition will be tough, but I am totally ready for the challenge!!!
If your free videos are this content rich and hype-free, I can't even imagine what your paid programs are like (live or DVD) - they must be life-changing! And from your hundreds of postings last week and this, it is very obvious you have many life-long students and fans, validating this thought.
I look forward to learning from and with you for many years to come, too!
Thank you for sharing your secrets and helping us newcomers, too!

Great high-level descriptive conversation of your business Eben. Using the pillars concept on a firm foundation helps to plant these ideas. Looking forward to more detail.

Eben,
This tour into your private life and "behind the scenes view" was very insightful and very revealing. It was very helpful to hear you outline the steps you have taken to get from where you started to your current position.
The way you explained your progress makes me feel as if I can also achieve something very similar.
Thnaks for the tour, and I look forward to future videos.
Regards,
Tom D.

Hi Eben,
Update on my homework. Watched the video and sketeched out my blueprint for the different segments of my business.
I have two main businesses:
A service business (I'm a Virtual Assistant) that I hope to transition into selling my own ebooks & training videos. Though I've been a VA for 10+ years, my info business is in phase 1.
Things I need:
1) info product
2) salespage
3) traffic generation strategy
Next steps:
1) sketch outline for info product (UPDATE: by the time I posted this post to your site, I have already sketched an outline). So revising action step to committing to writing 500 words per day of info product (combo of ebook & video)
2) generate buzz on blog & article marketing - blog daily and post 1 article to article directories weekly
3) write salespage
My other main business is a gardening website. This one is in it's infancy (has only been online since Feb 1)
Things needed:
1) drop shipper for gardening supplies
2) affiliates & strategic partners to help build visibility
3) build list
Next steps:
1. Goal to have drop shipper selected & products integrated into website by 03/31
2. Marketing for ebook - article marketing to drive traffic
3. Create ezine
There are two other areas of my business (a few health ebooks & blogs as well as a blog that promotes affiliate links for products that are helpful to online business owners & entrepreneurs) but my blueprint helped me focus on the two divisions I mentioned above as needing the most immediate action. Once these two are generating passive income and have grown to phase two where I can outsource, I will focus on growing the other two.
Thanks Eben! Looking forward to the next video.
I'm itching to get to the next level.

A good friend sent this link over to me. Anyway, thanks for sharing some incredible information.
I've taken my notes, and am in stage 1. I have a free report on my website (about 22 pages long), and am completing my first e-book. I'm going to have some links to video in there (do you think that's a good idea?). I should have it finished this week. Then the traffic part.
I think it's possible to be at stage 2 by the summer (that's the goal), and I'm trying to think through what other info to pass along. I like the interview idea -- brilliant.
I understand you can't answer a bunch of questions -- I agree with your point for moving the free line. So there you have it. As for stage 3, well... that's the ultimate end goal for me. When to get there, well, I'll keep you posted if you don't mind.
Thanks again.

Awesome video Eban!! Great job at giving people the BIG picture..the panoramic view. That is extremely important to have and you gave an example of a 20 mill Big Picture Biz model. I look forward ot getting into the details of the business in the future.

Aloha Eben,
Great video. I loved seeing your studio. What lights are you using?
Ok so my homework-
1. Upload DVDs to Kunaki and get test copies to view before inventory order.
2. Write different keyword rich ads for PPC.
3. Upload sales pages with buttons to shopping cart.
I am right around the corner from launching.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

P.S. I live just north of you in Ojai.

Hi Eben. Wow. I just gave away alot of my services and was feeling maybe it wasn't a good idea..that people were maybe just going to take the freebees and be gone, but I was wrong. You are right about building relationships, and now I feel that's what I just started with these people. No regrets. Thanks for the reassurance.

Eben,
I've heard this kind of stuff before, but I had to PAY for that information! Thank you so much for making it clear on what to do. There IS a ton of hype out there, and I think most of us are tired of it.
I have an eBook that I just finished, so now I need to take the next step and that is setting up my web stuff.
Count me in on that contest! Thanks again!

Hi Eben
Very nice thank you very much.
I'm based in the UK and have a new business that will use a combined infrastructure (on line and off line).
This is a financial services focused on delivering a mortgage broking service.
Our plan is to start with mortgage services and then build and develop a range of products or niches that link naturally with our target market.
My actions steps are;
1. Define and identify our possible affiliates or channel partners.
2. Recruit support and admin person.
3. Establish a process for targeting our; end user clients and channel partners.
This is not a pure on line business but it does use many of the solutions from the on line world.
Loved the knowledge you are passing on.
Best wishes to all across the pond.
From a sunny UK:-)

Thank you for a great video. I have just one question! You say, as does every guru, "Use opt-in to get your list. Work your list" Right! My site has been up since 1995. I have THOUSANDS of names. Now what? Where do I put them? How do I mail them automatically? I'm doing it manually because I don't know any other way and I can't find the information. Could you address this please?

Hi Eben,
Excellent video. I enjoyed seeing your home and office. Must be nice to live in California too! I am in the very beginning stage of Phase I and have thought of lots of products to sell but have not made any final decisions. It is helpful to know where I'm going once I'm out of Phase I so I'm appreciative of the direction you're giving. Looking forward to future videos, audios, presentations. Thank You.

Hey Eben and a big shout out to Farmer (I caught a glimpse of you in the mirror with the camera.;)
Eben, you mentioned outsourcing and said in the future you would be covering how to hire from places like elance.com.
As part of that can you address how to write the requests for proposals or help wanted ads to help do initial quality control on the responses you get.
I have seen a couple examples of your "help wanted" ads you have posted for your Hot Topic company and it appears that put as much thought into those ads as you do your marketing and sales copy.
I think this is just another way you have refined your business processes to get "Top Grade" results that much faster and it would be another great lesson for us all to learn.
Thanks again Eben. And thank you for continuing to show us that keeping business processes lean and simple can be SO POWERFUL.
With gratitude,
Jack Schoenberger

Hi,
just curious: why am I unable to find your site with Google???
If I search for double your dating:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=double+your+dating&btnG=Google+Search
the I don't see your site.
But even if I search for http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=active&q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.doubleyourdating.com%2F&btnG=Search , I am still unable to locate your site. Why? so you get zero traffic from search engines?

This is INVALUABLE education for me. This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. Before you put this together I was desperately looking for where I could get a copy of Altitude (with no luck) so I could start role modeling your approach. I was searching everywhere for the "How To" of getting 10 years of valuavle experience and health information to a market in a powerful way. You are giving me everything I need and I thank you for your generosity.
P.S. I still want Altitude and have been unable to get it...will it be available again in the future?

Eben- Here's a quick update....
I just rocked google adwords. (at least according to my little world) YUP I finally did it. Since the last post I opened an account, fell flat on my face, brushed myself off and went at it again. (a few times) First time .05 CTR then the big guy nailed me and pulled my ad.
After a few more hours, lots more pain and frustration I humbly hit an 11.34% CTR and danced the conversion dance :)I actually made some sales!
Couple more ads and I'm off to conquer affiliate land.
Eban your absolutely right "Tight focused action" WINS!
Keep those videos comin'
