Case Studies GONE WILD...


I got on the phone a couple of days ago with a couple people who have emailed me to tell me about the success that the've had applying some of my techniques to their Information Product businesses. I deliberately chose "regular people" who had small businesses... not "famous gurus" - because I wanted to show a more "real" side to the business.

When you see people at my live Altitude seminars talking about how they made fifty thousand dollars in a couple of days, it might be a little bit of a disconnect for you. But listen to these regular people who made anywhere from a few hundred bucks to a few thousand dollars (and growing), to get an idea of how my stuff really works.

One is a college student who almost TRIPLED his sales on his little niche site by implementing a few things he learned from me on a webinar (and he stayed up all night to do it after the webinar - and tripled his sales the NEXT DAY). And the other is a woman who had worked for over 10 years as an advisor and consultant, who PACKAGED what she knows and is now making good money selling Information Products. I think you'll enjoy...

I have developed a business concept that will literally take Internet marketing as we currently know it to another level.

This approach to the game has never been attempted before. Well maybe 'never' is pushing it. Let’s say definitely not in the last 1600 years

Please don't dismiss what I'm saying as bullsh*t. It isn't.

Let me give you an example of the Power we can unleash. If we were to take a site like Double Your Dating as a starting point we would, conservatively, quadruple your turnover in 6 months with virtually zero capital input.

GM, you are currently the best in the game, no argument. If you weren't so difficult (actually goddarn impossible!) to contact directly, we could already be banking heavy-duty money together. In fact I believe you could be turning away billions of bucks worth of unsolicited business merely because you don't make yourself accessible to the people. In my view blogs only work if people have a sense that they are being listened to. That means you need to be acknowledging and responding personally (on the site) to every posting. That is the kind of 'real' rapport that builds ageless bonds. Check out www.christymoore.com to see an ordinary guy who, more by accident than by design, got it about 95% right!).

If you were to check, you would find I actually dangled a baited hook into the water (on your blog) and didn't even receive a tiny bite. I’m offended.

I must also confess I have also been watching the broader Internet marketing game for a couple of years. I've often been ‘just about’ tempted to venture in, holding back only because I instinctively knew the perfect moment hadn't yet arrived. I must admit I have been almost seduced but at the end of the day have held back for one reason - the market is overtraded (at least as its currently positioned). Diving into that water would be like jumping into a shark infested sea. I prefer uncontested terrain.

That’s why I believe we must take the way we play to another level entirely.

You are one of very few in the game who has consistently raised the bar. That is why I chose to approach you first. My principle is that if I plan to win I don't have to drive the fastest vehicle. I merely have to hitch a ride with the person who is.

And what I'm proposing is going to raise the bar from high-jump to pole vault level!

Wow Eben, that was a wonderful video. It was entertaining, in the midst of teaching. I learned from that one and am excited about the brainstorm idea for Words.

But besides that, I love heirloom type things, and would love a kitchen like that! I did have an idea for your guest, if you can contact him... He should add plaques to the kitchen that tell the story, in the right 'historic timber' frame, they would accent the room.

I have a few take aways from all three case studies. In fact, I'll need to listen to all three again because I got caught up in Googling symantec indexing, tag clouds and brainstorming the words that I've selected for my products that I wasn't paying full attention.

In fact, I may spend the rest of the evening reviewing everything again and determining what my next three action steps are.

After hearing your training on business phases...I realized it would be good to go back to Phase 1 and develop a plan from the ground up.

When I first got started, I honestly had more business than I could handle through word of mouth and I got spoiled and never bothered to study marketing thinking I didn't need to. Boy was I wrong...I went from offering people extremely valuable information in a "why, what, how" format (although I didn't know I was) with great success...to offering people too much "what" while at the same time I stopped listening and interacting with my customers which just overwhelmed them with information...I thought I was doing them a favor by just giving them information and didn't understand why they suddenly weren't applying it and less people were coming to me. The more I learned, the more I dumped on them...I pretended I knew what they wanted and what questions they had and told them to just listen! Thanks for waking me up!

I am now working on consolidating my contacts into a system so I can effectively survey my customers and find out waht they actually want for the first time.

I have begun studying how to use Pay Per Click/AdWords (which I has never heard of until your trainings these last couple of weeks). I have read "One Small Step...", "Influence", and just started "Cash Copy".

I had written a book with someone else and it just isn't selling like I thought it would and I realize that it simply has too much information in it and the information is mostly what I "think" they "should" want. I now have 4 new ideas and outlines for eBooks that are high value and yet not overwhelming and I have begun writting the first (using your templates) to use as content marketing.

I was charging $59 for 20 minute consultations and then $2 per minute (trying to nickle and dime people)...I switched and started applying your suggestion of giving away free 15 minute consultations and upselling 1 hour $99 consultations (I was charging $179 for an hour) and offering sets of 4 and 6...I have already several people by "4" (one per quarter) that would have only paid for 1 before!! This is enabling me to add much more value to them and ensure their long-term success in their health while it puts more money in my pocket up front ($400 instead of $100 per sale).

I also started offering free resources like recipe books to people who register for services by a certain time and a single free 45 minute health and lifestyle consultation to anyone who buys nutritional supplements from me to add free value and ensure their success moving forward.

So far I am seeing increases in income, customer success, and satisfaction.

BUT...I feel like I am not even scratching the surface and I WANT TO DO MORE...I have 10 years of valuable information and experience to put into products and I can't wait to get into the nuts and bolts of Gurumastermind...this training is an answer to my prayers. THANK YOU!!

Over the past six months I've been reading a variety of books on the topic of eBooks, selling products over the internet, setting up business systems, outsourcing, etc. I have no shortage of ideas but realise it's high time to team up. It will allow me to move forward so much faster than I can on my own. Can't wait to sign up, and have been looking for the scholarship page as well but no go.

Eben I deserve to be one of the winners because I went from nothing to a Web publisher and without your help and encouragement I would have never got this far and with your help I know I can go all the way to doing launches and a million by the end of 2008

So here is the story. I did not have a product or even an Idea of what I could promote, I did what you said and looked hard at where my passion is and my expertise.

I sell heavy equipment to Auto dealers so I went to one of the biggest clients in my area and asked what was there biggest problem. Like you said to do and they told me that there biggest problem was that on a good day they have to handle between 100 and 200 cars a day.

They have 17 service advisors and 42 technicians but when you get 30 cars at the same time and the phones are ringing and the technicians need authorizations to get the work done it’s chaos and that cost the dealership a lot of money.

This chaos was happening everyday.

So the Boss is an avid golfer and a few years ago he called to get a golf tee time at the local golf course and was able to call the local golf course and set his tee time on the phone with out having to wait on an automated system and said he needed that kind of a system for his dealership.

I took him 3 weeks to get the programmer to agree to write a program for the dealership. He called him everyday.

So I asked who was handling the sales of the software for him and it turns out they were looking for help to market it.

I suggested a video like you do.

So I went and got a video camera and Pinnacle Studio Software and a converter to convert the fire wire connection to USB and learned the software and got the Dealership to let me shoot a video and get the top salesman of the software co to do a teaser video presentation on tape.

I don’t have a website or a blog so I published it to Google video.

I woke up in the middle of the night after seeing you video last night with your words in my head.

What do words mean, Here is my 2 cents words mean to me things thoughts that conger up pictures, emotions, feeling.

I have always been told people buy for emotional reasons and justify there actions with logic. People will buy wants over needs.

So if we use our words to get our customers to feel emotions and they are able to picture them selves owning what we are offering, they are going to see themselves owning our product and felling the emotions and benefits of owning our product. Now the price is not the deciding factor and we can ask a better price, we can even justify a very high price because they are getting something one of a kind that will not be available again.

I am beginning to see the logic in this and it is powerful you are a master I can see that you did learn a thing or two from all those books you showed us one of your past videos
